     Within the framework of this workshop  the Elsevier product trainer Damir Khafizov demonstrated the main advantages of Scopus, the largest single database of annotations and citations of peer-reviewed scientific literature and  the Science Direct, the leading information platform of peer-reviewed scientific literature.

          These products of the company greatly simplify:
• search for current works on various scientific topics;
• allow analyzing, comparing and identifying the most authoritative journals, authors and organizations in various scientific disciplines on various metrics;
• search for information for the preparation of applications for grants;
• search for potential research partners and new sources for their publications;

and much more. More information about the capabilities of these products is presented in the presentation.

       Due to the introduction of the russified interface, the use of the Scopus database has become more accessible and simple. During the seminar some of distinguishing features of working on these platforms, the presentation of new opportunities for editing and creating a profile of a scientist and organization were developed. Moreover, the information related to the possibility of including a journal or conference in this database was presented.
