FASO Head’s visit

       On November 17, the head of the Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations Mikhail Kotyukov, visited the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the framework of his working trip to Ekaterinburg.

        During this visit, advanced scientific developments, laboratory investigations and experimental electrolysis zone (which is part of the lab of electrode processes) were demonstrated to Michael Kotyukov by the experts of IHTE. The semi-industrial experimental electrolysis zone is successfully used for the new electrochemical energy-saving technologies: production of aluminum alloys in large scale on behalf of UC RUSAL and high-temperature galvanoplastics in cooperation with SC ROSCOSMOS.

        After visiting the laboratories, a working meeting of Moscow guests and Institute leaders was held, during which the prospects for the development of new directions of scientific research at the Institute were discussed.
