Meeting of young scientists

          On March 15, on the base of IHTE UB RAS held a meeting, devoted to discussionof issues related to the inner changes of the Council of Young Scientists. It was attended by the members of the Council, as well as postgraduate and undergraduate students. Today, the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry consists of 5 members, including the Chairman and the Secretary, under the age of 35 years. It is intended to unite scientific youth and express its interests.It was listed on the agenda the issue of the Council composition changing and the election of Chairman of the Institute CYS. Proposed candidates – SkutinaLyubov and AndreyFarlenkov – were unanimously approved for inclusion in the Council. PershinPavel was elected the Chairman of the Council.2

            Acting Director of the IHTE, Alexander Dedyukhin, made an introduction speech to young scientists. He noted that the research the institute staff deals withare advanced and included in the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation adopted at the end of 2016.

           The Institute successfully carries out fundamental and applied research in the field of new materials, resource-saving power engineering, new energy storagesources, developmentof scientific fundamentals of technologies for processing of technogenicwaste, etc.The relevance of the Institute’s themes is also confirmed by the number of Institute young scientists who have received scholarships of various levels. At the meeting, some vital issues of youth were touched upon such as obtaining of official apartment and housing certificates.In the speech of the chairman of the Council of Young Scientistsof UB RAS, Konstantin Chesnokovit was noted that the labor union supports and conducts various sports events, for example academic skiing, a tournament on football and volleyball, as well as a bowling tournament.There is an opportunity to organize a championship on KVN, which is already a little forgotten, but has not lost its relevance.There are many opportunities for professional and personal development of young scientists.1

            Dear colleagues, we remind you that on May 16, the Young Scientists Contest of the Institute will be traditionally held, and in September of this year the First International Conference on Intelligent Technologies in Energy (Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of Molten and Solid Electrolytes) will be held.
