One scholarship is good, but three is better

                December 28, 2016 in USUEHouse of Culture the Awarding Ceremony of the Sverdlovsk region Governor nominal scholarship took place. The event was attended by Vadim Dubichev, the First Deputy of the Sverdlovsk Region Governor Administration Head, and Yuri Bicktuganov, the Minister of General and Professional Education of the Sverdlovsk region, to present awards to the winners. The Ceremony is held since 1996 and during these years about 8,5 thousand of students and graduate students, including IHTE UB RAS graduates, were awarded.

              Students and graduate students were congratulated by the Vadim Dubichev on behalf of the Sverdlovsk region Governor Eugene Kuyvashev: “We recognize the most talented, intelligent and conscientious people, and this support will be felt by them for a lifetime. Becoming a Governor Grant holder means theindependent formationof psychology and philosophy of the winner, successful person who has reached such a serious outcomeby his labor”.

img_2443           This year 223 students and graduate students of Ural Higher educational institutions, colleges and technical schools were nominated to the Governor Scholarships. Among the laureates is Andrew Farlenkov, the graduate student and employee of solid oxide fuel cell laboratory of IHTE UB RAS. This grant is already third for him — in addition to the conventional academic scholarship that is paid to graduate students as a result of the planimplementation and the post-graduate certification, in September of the last year Andrew was awarded by the scholarship the Russian Federation Government. This scholarship is given to some of the graduate students educating in the framework of higher education programsin the institutions under the federal authority in the 2016/2017 academic year. Such high assessment of the graduate student activities indicates the importance and prospects of his research in the field of solid electrolytes with high proton conductivity.

We are sincerely glad to the success of our young colleague and wish him not rest on laurels and to conquer new heights!

Andrew achievements has not remained undetected in his Institute —on New Years Eve he was awarded the diploma of the best graduate student in 2016.
