The scientific session of the General meeting of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held on November 25 where the employees of academic institutions were awarded by silver medals and diplomas named after famous scientists of the Ural. The competition for these awards was announced in spring, the results were summed up in June but gala ceremony of awarding traditionally took place in the end of the year. Among the laureates was PhD in Chemistry Anatoly K. Demin, the Head of the Laboratory of electrochemical devices based on solid oxide protonic electrolytes of IHTE. He received the honorary diploma named after A.N. Baraboshkin for series of studies devoted to development of theoretical bases of solid oxide electrochemical devices on the ionic and mixed ionic-electronic conductors.
Anatoly Konstantinovich is one of leading national experts in this field, and the honorary award is an additional evidence of the recognition of his contribution to the development of electrochemical power sources.
