It is noteworthy that the international company “Altair” is the second largest at the Italian market of chemical production. One of by-products of the company is valuable hydrogen. Italian visitors were especially interested in the implementation of power station based on solid oxide fuel cells developed by Ural electrochemists at the company facilities as well as in mutual research of new energy-saving technologies. The guests discussed possible future plans with the IHTE UB RAS direction and were invited to the laboratories, where the electrochemical power technologies research takes place. They also visited the Ural Federal University and met with the head of the University, Viktor A. Koksharov.
