The IHTE UB RAS took part in the “Titanium cluster of the Ural region” innovative regional cluster within the frames of the VI International exhibition and forum of industry and innovations “INNOPROM-2015”.
Created in 2012, the Titanium cluster of the Ural region is in the list of 25 innovative regional clusters of Russia supported by the Program of the Ministry of economical development of Russia. This cluster unites 23 organizations in the Ural region. The basic directions of implement technologies and cluster’s production are: usage of titanium, modern technologies of its treatment and resources of one of the biggest research and development centers in Russia in the field of titanium. According to the request of the managing authority “Special economic zone “the Titanium valley”, the IHTE UB RAS prepared several proposals related to the innovative development of titanium:
- Ultra-dispersed titanium-, zirconium-, hafnium-aluminum master alloys
- Method for electrochemical dispersion of metals and alloys (Ni, Cu, Fe, W, Mo, Re, Ti, Nb, Ta, Pt, Ag, Ta-Pd, Ta-Ni, steel-20, steel 12Х18Н10Т, NiChrome, BT-20, etc.)
- Oxide nano-sized powders of metals (titanium, aluminum, zirconium, tantalum, lead)
- Protective diffusion aluminide coatings on titanium and its alloys
- Diffusion carbide coatings on titanium implants.
The full-scale samples of diffusion aluminide coatings on titanium (3 samples), diffusion alumo-zinc coatings on titanium (3 samples), and titanium sample without coating supplied with short descriptions were demonstrated on a stand at the Titanium cluster international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM-2015”, which was held at the exhibition center “Ekaterinburg-EXPO” from 8th till 11th July 2015.
