The IHTE UB RAS researchers took part in the conference “Fundamental investigations and last achievements in the field of founding, deformation, thermal processing and protection against corrosion of aluminum alloys” in the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aircraft materials (VIAM) in Moscow on the 9th October 2015.
At the conference with more than 300 participants, leading scientists from VIAM, representatives of national design engineering departments, enterprises, academic and branch research institutes presented their reports dedicated to level of modern achievements in the field of technologies for obtaining, processing, and protecting aluminum alloys for complex technical systems.
The plenary session was opened by E.N. Kablov, the General director of VIAM, academician of RAS. He said that “fundamental studies have significant value nowadays, because knowledge is the most important key for achieving those results, which were planned by the President of Russian Federation”. Academician E.N. Kablov also reminded that V.V. Putin has suggested realizing national technological initiative by uniting science, business, and industry together.
It is important to note that according to the decision of the conference’s committee the presentation “Synthesis and properties of novel aluminum-graphene and aluminum-graphite metal composite materials” of L.A. Elshina, a head of the lab of chemical power sources of IHTE UB RAS, was acknowledged as the best report in the section. The reward was the book “Tendencies and milestones of innovative development of Russia” presented by E.N. Kablov, General director of VIAM, RAS academician.
