Participation in the XVI exhibition “Metalworking. Tools”

    From 26th to 28th of November 2013 the Institute of High-Temperature Electrochemistry participated in the XVI specialized exhibition “Metalworking. Tools” organized within the project “Ural industrial week”. The event was arranged by the Exhibition Society “Ural Exhibitions” under the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commercy and Industry and with the official support of Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Ministry of Industry and Science of the Ural region, Engineering Workers Guild of Russia, Alliance of machine building enterprises of the Ural Region.vistavka_slider

       The aim of the exhibition is to present contemporary technologies and equipment for tool-making industry, novel scientific developments and technical achievements, sharing advanced experience, establishing effective trade-economical cooperation between enterprises and machine-building organizations. During exhibition meetings, forums, round tables as well as distribution of diplomas and medals for achievements in the fields of metal working and engineering have been held.

        The IHTE UB RAS presented novel scientific developments which can be used in practice in machine building, instrumental industry, metalware production.

          Among them are the methods of obtaining diffusion covers on items made of steel and alloys:

  • Corrosion resistant zinc covers of the complex shaped steel items, tools and machine details obtained without hydrogenation;
  • Aluminum covers on the items made of constructive metal materials in order to improve its corrosion- and heat resistance in severe conditions of aggressive media and high temperatures;
  • Strengthen wear-resisting boride covers on machine details, tools and stamps increasing the operating life of items in 2-5 times.
  • The methods of obtaining highly dispersed metal powders and other developments of IHTE, which can be in-demand in industry, were also proposed.

          The IHTE UB RAS was awarded with honored diploma for presented innovations.

          The application “Method for obtaining heat resistant covers on steels, alloys, titanium, and copper” was submitted to the exhibition competition committee.
