The Special Issue “Metal-Based Composite Materials: Preparation, Structure, Properties, and Applications” has been extended to 15 April 2022

Dear Colleagues!

We are delighted to inform you that the deadline for manuscript submissions to the Special Issue “Metal-Based Composite Materials: Preparation, Structure, Properties, and Applications” has been extended to 15 April 2022

Special Issue Editors:

 Суздальцев 005Andrei Suzdaltsev (suzdaltsev_av@ihte.uran.ru)
PhD in chemistry,
Oksana Rakhmanova Рахманова
PhD in physics and math  (oksana_rahmanova@ihte.uran.ru)

This Special Issue is devoted to the analysis of current trends and recent advances in the synthesis of new composite materials based on metals. Such composites are increasingly used in civil, automotive and aerospace engineering, shipbuilding, robotics, nuclear power, portable power devices, biomedicine, electronic devices, and portable aircraft.

Non-ferrous metals are often used as the matrix for composites of aluminum, magnesium, nickel, titanium and their alloys, modifiers with boron, carbon structures, borides, carbides, nitrides and oxides of refractory metals and high-strength steel. For high temperature composites, tungsten or molybdenum fibers are used.
Despite the large number of scientific works on this topic, the search for new methods for the synthesis of such composites in order to improve and optimize their structure and properties is urgent. Therefore, completed experimental and theoretical work aimed for creation the methods for the synthesis of composites, as well as search for new materials for inclusion in this special issue, are welcomed.
