New grant-holders

Three young employees of the IHTE UB RAS – Alexander Davydov, Anna Khodimchuk and Maxim Plekhanov – received scholarships from the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Alexander Davydov, a researcher from the Molten Salts Lab, develops new theoretical approaches in order to describe phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties in multicomponent salt melts, which are of great interest for safe and efficient power engineering. The young scientist is a co-author of over 40 scientific publications, including 7 articles in high-ranking journals.

Anna Khodimchuk, a researcher from the InEnergy lab, studies the electrochemical activity of electrode materials in situ using oxygen isotope exchange and impedance spectroscopy. This will make it possible to modify the electrode materials in order  to improve the efficiency of  electrochemical devices. A.V. Khodimchuk co-authored 24 scientific articles in high-rated journals,  and holds 2 patents.

Maxim Plekhanov, a researcher from  the InEnergy lab, studies mixed electronic-ionic conductors that can be used in hydrogen-permeable membranes, proton-ceramic fuel cells, and other electrochemical devices.

Congratulations to the grant-holders!
