Method of producing nanowhiskerized structures for oxide tungsten bronzes on graphite material

The electrolysis conditions and the possibility of producing nanocrystallized samples with hexagonal structure on graphite material were determined. The oxide tungsten bronze precipitate consists of whiskers of nanometric thickness. The whiskers thickness is in the range of 30-150 nm, whereas the length reaches 5000 nm. The obtained samples were tested on catalyzing activity at the Institute of Organic Synthesis of UB RAS. The samples high activity in hydrogen peroxide catalyzed decomposition was established. The usage of graphite material as a carrier with high electrical conductivity and specific surface allows for creation of novel semifunctional catalyzer containing nanocrystallitic oxide tungsten bronzes with redox properties and possessing the oxygen acid centers .

This achievement is important for creation of new catalytic systems for organic and petrochemical synthesis.
